LEVAŽ Auto Injector

The development of B&O Medicom's LEVA® auto injector is progressing with high speed. The first variant, LEVA® 1.0, which is compatible with a 1.0 ml. long pre-filled syringe with staked needle, is at the moment included in 2 User Handling Studies which are being executed both in Europe, US and Asia. Throughout the spring more User Handling Studies will be executed and B&O Medicom is looking very much forward to receiving the results.

Currently LEVA® 1.0 ml is being intensively tested with respect to robustness and environmental endurance, in order to have as mature a device as possible before the upcoming design verification.

On-going engineering tests have also made it possible to identify areas inside the device which could be further optimized. This has for instances resulted in reduction of the actuation force of more than 50%. Also when testing one of the more important parameters - the delivered dose - tests show that the device delivers 99% of the volume filled in the syringe. All in all, the basic performance of LEVA® 1.0 ml. is in place. Read more about LEVA® here.

New US Based Colleague

Due to our many US activities we have a new colleague working with existing and future US based customers. Bruce Sanders, Director of Business Development (contact details below) has a 22 years, solid background from drug delivery device development and will further expand our client focus in the areas of inhalation, injection and tablet dispensing.

B&O Medicoms focus is to enable our customers to shortcut development time by outsourcing complex design, development and manufacturing tasks to us. Bruce's familiarity with the US drug delivery device market and his customer focused attitude will enable this even further.

Contact Bruce Sanders on email: bes@medicomnordic.com or call +1 603 560 5666.

Injectable Drug Delivery, March 23-25, London, UK

At this year's conference B&O Medicom will present the latest development project - the LEVA® auto injector. Zia Afreedi, Project Manager at B&O Medicom, will in his speech; "LEVA® - Auto injection with a human twist" discuss how the user has been the focal point of the development process and the challenges that B&O Medicom has experienced during the project.

As a provider of injection solutions for almost two decades, we are looking forward to contributing to the discussion at the conference.

We are looking forward to participating in the conference, and if a meeting is convenient during the event, please contact Tanya Arp-Nielsen, Business Development manager, at taa@medicomnordic.com or call +45 4212 5910.
