15 Year History

Bang & Olufsen Medicom has been active in the inhalation development range for the past 15 years. We have developed several pMDI devices that can be used for Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

The latest addition to the inhaler range, Insulair®, a disposable breath-actuated device, is designed for use with liquid drug formulations suitable for pMDIs and the inhaler offers improved pulmonary drug delivery for systemic treatment of diseases, including diabetes.

Inhalation Expertise

Bang & Olufsen Medicom offers a range of pMDI (pressurised metered dose inhaler) designs and technologies for pMDI's - both breath-actuated as well as "press and breath" solutions. The product designs share a common dose counting platform and are all designed to be easy-to-use and discreet in their appearance. Electronic features such as reminders for chronic treatments as well as connectivity with mobile devices  are further examples of areas, where Bang & Olufsen Medicom have helped clients with their inhalation device needs.

In addition to the pMDI solutions, Bang & Olufsen Medicom is also involved in dry powder inhaler devices - both purely mechanial solutions and electronical, active Dry Powder Inhaler devices.
